National selection round:

National trials for the Chilean Louis Lesaffre Cup team were held at the Lesaffre Baking Centre from 21-25 June. After a rigorous selection process, only 24 of the 500 initial applicants were selected to take part in this national final.

The names of the three candidates who would represent their country were announced at the award ceremony on 25 June.
