The Bakery World Cup

Created in 1992 by Christian Vabret, Meilleur Ouvrier de France en boulangerie(Bakery best craftsman in France), the Bakery World Cup is an excellent competition which aimsat developing the quality of the bread throughout the worldand promoting the baking profession.

Each participating country appoints a team of 3 bakers each of them specialized in Bread, Pastry (Viennoiserie) and Artistic Creation.

From its beginnings, the Bakery World Cup has kept enrichingits panel of participating countries and raising the level of its competitions.

In 2003 The Louis Lesaffre Cupgave a new breath toThe Bakery World Cup by pre-selection the participating teams.

The Bakery World Cup is currently held every four years at the EuropainTrade Show (Paris Nord Villepinte) alternating with The Bakery Masters.

The next Bakery World Cup will be held from 3rd to 7 March 2012.
