The last team to join the competition, the Peruvian team only had two months to prepare. With non-stop 12-hour training sessions and 8-hour competition rehearsals, they prepared intensively. After coming second in the second edition of the Louis Lesaffre Cup in 2007, they were determined to win. They hope to use this third edition of the Louis Lesaffre Cup to modernise the image of Peruvian bakery. It's also a chance to improve the quality of bread in their country.
"We wanted to present good products, products that tasted good and had high nutritional quality. In addition to international products, our aim was to propose cereal-based products typical of Peru! The artistic piece was created to reflect the history and architecture of our ancestors."
At the results announcement ceremony on 29th September 2010 the Peruvian team was chosen to participate in the 2012 Bakery World Cup. Buoyed by the enthusiastic applause of their supporters, they were very excited by the announcement. This ambitious team has certainly achieved its objectives!
