The Bakery Masters

This Masters competition closes a whole cycle of competitions, including: the Louis Lesaffre Cup, the Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie (Bakery World Cup) and the Bakery Masters.


The competition

Candidates who have competed in the Louis Lesaffre Cup and Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie have been assessed as part of their team and also as individuals. This competition aims for excellence, selecting the very best candidates who have been observed in each category.

This means that, even if a team has not won a competition, some candidates have proved especially brilliant in their category and are then given the opportunity to face an individual challenge and compete for the prestigious title of MASTER BAKER.


The categories


Bread is the ultimate symbol of bakery. It can be given an infinite number of shapes, tastes and textures… The candidates follow a set programme, while also expressing their cultural diversity during a free-choice section.

Viennese pastry

This category is a wonderful blend of taste and aesthetics, requiring a definite art. One of the strengths the jury is looking for is creativity.

Artistic piece

Candidates have to create an artistic piece based on a theme decided in advance for the competition. With skill and creativity, they compose a real figurative masterpiece, in the natural bread colours.
