Selection of the candidates
For each country that attend the competition, candidate selection happens in two phases:
The national selection which allow for a country’s best representatives to be identified so a national team can be formed, made up of 3 bakers, one for each category and the 4 international Selections pit teams from different geographic zones against each other.
The 9 winning teams have the privilege of taking part on the following Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie (Bakery World Cup) alongside the 3 countries already selected.
Candidates for the 2014-2015 Louis Lesaffre Cup are aged between 18 and 55, and are working bakers.
