The Indonesian team's national selection finals were hosted by the INTERFOOD INDONESIA show in Jakarta (from 8th to 11th August).
The national and local press gave in-depth coverage to the 3 regional selections organised respectively in Bali, Bandung and Denpasar. 9 finalists competed in the Bread, Viennese pastry and Artistic piece categories. The winning team has a "brilliant coach" in the person of Mr Richard Wentworth to train them up for the Asian international selection round in Canton in May 2011.

"Promoting baking quality in Indonesia through the Louis Lesaffre Cup and bringing out new talents held enormous appeal for me", points out Richard Wentworth.
Richard has worked in France for the Lesaffre Baking Center for 14 years and regularly travels to Indonesia. He is therefore very familiar with Indonesian bakery and is putting all his expertise at the team's disposal.
