After the selection of the Louis Lesaffre Cup, the teams participating in the prestigious Bakery World Cup are now known: South Korea, Costa Rica, the United States, France, Italy , Japan, the Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Senegal, Sweden and Taiwan.
The order of play in the Bakery World Cup competition will be as follows:
Sunday, March 4, 2012 | France - Taiwan - Italy - Peru |
Monday, March 5, 2012 | United States - South Korea - Sweden - Senegal |
Tuesday, March 6, 2012 | Japan - Netherlands - Poland - Costa Rica |
Each of these teams will compete in a test of eight hours during which they will perform:
- The baguettes and specialty breads
- The sweet pastries
- Savoury presentation
- An artistic piece on the theme "The bread, a symbol of your country"
Note that the savoury presentation is a new speciality of the 2012 edition!
This event brings together the skills of three candidates in one team and, in addition to displaying the diversity of products from each country in this field, provides an opportunity to judge the candidates' team spirit and how well they collaborate; qualityisking in this bakery competition.
